Verify payslips
Read the payload from a payslip QR code or its PDF metadata. Then send it to Verifiabl. The API returns the registered payslip and employee data.
Before you start, follow Use the Verifier API to configure authentication.
The verification flow
Section titled “The verification flow”Read either copy of the payload and send the extracted text without modification to POST /v1/verifications/payload.
- Extract: Read the payload from the payslip. It is in the QR code and in the PDF metadata.
- Submit: Send the extracted text to
/v1/verifications/payload. - Validate: Verifiabl validates the payload and returns the payslip data with the employee details.
- Consume: Read the JSON response in the format from your onboarding.
Payload locations
Section titled “Payload locations”The QR code contains a scan URL. The PDF metadata property verifiabl:payload contains the matching pipe-delimited payload. Its namespace is https://verifiabl.io/ns/.
If you submit a scan URL, preserve everything after the # character.
Security
Section titled “Security”Send payloads over HTTPS. Protect successful responses as sensitive payroll data. Verifiabl does not retain decrypted personally identifiable information (PII).
See the security architecture for data handling details.
Integration guidelines
Section titled “Integration guidelines”Safe retries
Section titled “Safe retries”You can send the same QR code payload again. The same input gives the same verification result.

Errors and endpoint details
